About the department

The Infrastructure & Cloud Services department plays a crucial role in PolyPeptide’s expansion, ensuring the company’s IT infrastructure and cloud services can scale with its evolving needs. The department consists of four Service Owners, each responsible for different areas, including cloud, network, and infrastructure services. Operational infrastructure activities are managed through an external vendor, itm8, which provides 24/7 IT support. The department is essential in driving PolyPeptide’s digital transformation efforts.

About the position

As the Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud Services, you will be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, and operational management of PolyPeptide’s global IT infrastructure and cloud services. You will manage a team of 4 Service Owners and collaborate with other departments and external vendors to align IT solutions with business goals. The role is based in Malmö, with global responsibilities, and will involve communication with colleagues across multiple locations. Occasional business travel and work outside standard hours may be required. You will report directly to the Director of Global IT/OT, Thomas Gerd Hansen.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Develop and implement a global infrastructure and cloud strategy that aligns with PolyPeptide’s growth plans. Ensure the communication and execution of Global IS/IT standards and procedures within your team.
  • Vendor management: Oversee contracts with external vendors and service providers, ensuring service levels are met while optimizing costs.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Service Owners, creating a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will manage all HR-related tasks for your team.
  • Budgeting & cost control: Take responsibility for budgeting and financial management of the infrastructure and cloud services function, identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Infrastructure management: Coordinate resources, deliver architectural roadmaps, and maintain clear documentation to support business objectives.
  • Cross-departmental collaboration: Work closely with IT security, global applications, and other departments to ensure infrastructure solutions meet business needs.
  • Project management: Lead infrastructure and cloud projects, making strategic decisions related to external vendors and service providers.
  • Security & compliance: Collaborate with the IT security department to ensure all infrastructure and cloud services meet PolyPeptide’s quality standards (QMS, GMP, GAMP) and comply with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To succeed in the role as the Manager of Infrastructure & Cloud Services, you will have:

  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience, preferably including experience from a regulated industry and/or from the supplier side.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a technical and self-driven team, with strong people management and mentoring skills.
  • Proficient experience in vendor management, including responsibility for vendor contracts and future strategy.
  • Experience with managing large-scale infrastructure projects to deliver stable and scalable infrastructure for global systems and applications.
  • Experience from companies with manufacturing sites is a plus.
