The department

In this position, you will be managing two teams, the CRM Engineering Team, and the Technical Test Team, each with four highly skilled team members.

The Technical Test Team consists of one Senior Consultant and three Technical Testers with 1-2 years of experience. Some of the main tasks for this team are to build and automate test cases from a business perspective and develop test tools. But as this is a more junior team and test practices are still in the early stages you will also take part in forming practices and strategies for this team, and across the organisation.

The CRM team is a more established team, which main objective is to implement and enhance the CRM system, so it fulfils business’ needs and requirements. The team works closely together, and the team culture is characterized by a casual and open dialog, which makes it a joyful environment to be in.

To support both that and their exciting growth journey Banking Circle is looking to hire an experienced Engineering Team Lead for the CRM Engineering Team and Technical Test Team. You will be responsible for managing both teams and for driving and securing accountability on agreed processes, deliveries, and continuous improvements.

For this role, it’s important that you value being part of a team and being the person overall responsible for ensuring the delivery and scalability of the systems your teams are working on. You should also value the responsibility of providing sufficient day-to-day leadership of scrum teams to make sure we always deliver on agreed goals and on time.

Furthermore, test practices have grown in the last three years in Banking Circle as a part of the organizational growth. This has created a need for defining, how the test environment should function, driving the test agenda, and setting a test strategy. This will be a big part of your work and responsibility. In this role, you will also influence which direction test practices should take within Banking Circle. This also means that you will be talking to many different stakeholders to discuss test and test strategies.

The strategy for the CRM team is more elaborated and the team is also more established. Taking this into account your role in the CRM team will more be a “classic leadership” role, where you don’t necessarily know all the details, but still ensures deliveries, quality, and personal development within the team.


  • Grow, manage and motivate teams of highly dedicated people
  • Keep team accountable on agreed process and deliveries
  • Drive test agenda and test strategy
  • Support product owner in managing backlog, roadmaps and priorities
  • Ensure that deliveries follow architectural and other guidelines
  • Organize and run the daily scrum stand-ups, and other rituals
  • Crush impediments and toil for the two teams​

It is imperative that you have:

  • A demonstrated capability and experience from a similar role, where you have managed a technical delivery team as a hands-on and inspirational leader.
  • A thorough understanding of both traditional and agile PM methodologies, scaled agile frameworks, professional testing, and engineering practices from requirement analysis all the way to CI/CD.
  • Previous experience in a test team (for example; Test Manager or Technical Tester).
  • A natural ability to take responsibility when needed.

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience with project and delivery management.

Furthermore, it is not expected that you have experience with CRM or Dynamics365 as the CRM Engineering team is more established and has capabilities within this area.
